Elden Ring: The Best Dexterity Weapons, Ranked (2024)

Elden Ring Best Dexterity Weapons Ranked

Elden Ring may not be a direct sequel to the Dark Souls games, but it’s as much of a successor to that trilogy as it is a game with its own identity.

Dexterity is a stat that has been relevant in every Souls game, and Elden Ring is no different as it’s still one of the most useful stats that offensive players need to keep an eye out for both in PvP and PvE battles.

The game has a very long list of weapons that the player can find and it takes a fair amount of trial and error to discover which weapons are best for certain stats. The more Dex you have, the better weapons you can find that is compatible with it.

Naturally, players want to know what weapons work best with Dexterity in Elden Ring as soon as they begin encountering enemies. After all, even the early bosses in the game are back-breakingly difficult.

We’ve spent our fair share of time in the diverse and cruel world of Elden Ring, and thus we’re here with a guide to save your time! These are the best Elden Ring Dexterity weapons, ranked.

Best Elden Ring Dexterity Weapons

Keep in mind that this list is based on the personal experiences of players and based on the current patch. The game was only released recently, so it’s possible that future updates might switch things up a bit because it will surely receive many patches for a couple of months.

Uchigatana

Uchigatana-Best Dex Weapons- Elden Ring

The Uchigatana is one of the best Dex weapons in Elden Ring. It’s a simple-to-use but very effective blade that can be acquired very early on in the game if the player starts in the Samurai class.

You can still find it later in the Deathtouched Catacombs too if you play as a different class.

You can upgrade the Uchigatana with regular smithing stones and it works great as a tool for causing rapid blood loss in enemies. If you’re familiar with any Souls games prior to Elden Ring – you know how effective this is.

The only downside to this weapon is that its weapon art is a bit poor in the beginning. But you can replace it with a better one as soon as you find it – so it’s not a big problem. The obvious recommendation is Bloody Slash which is found in Ashes of War.

Bloodhound’s Fang

Bloodhound’s Fang

Bloodhound’s Fang is a curved greatsword that is obtained by killing Knight Darriwil. It’s not an easy weapon to obtain, so you’ll need to use something else like the Uchigatana first until you get to this point.

It’s a very powerful sword that has a C in Dexterity scaling in its default stats and can be upgraded a lot later down the line using somber smithing stones and weapon greases.

What further makes this sword a great choice is that it works really well with shields – so you get both offense and defense at the same time. You can also buff it with Bloodflame, which works very well with the sword.

Reduvia (Dual-Wielded)

Reduvia (Dual-Wielded)

Reduvia is a neat little dagger that you can find early on in Elden Ring. By itself, it’s not that great of a weapon since it’s quite small. However, when you dual-wield the Reduvia dagger, it becomes a very good option because of its high bleed potential.

Enemies start rapidly bleeding even after just a few hits, and its unique weapon skill is pretty cheap too, as it can be unlocked for only 6FP.

You can obtain it by killing Bloody Finger Nerijus very close to the start of the game, and then a second one can be obtained using co-op as a friend can drop it for you.

Moonvell

Moonvell

Moonvell is an incredibly powerful katana that is easily one of the best Dex-based weapons in the game. It has a balance between Dexterity and Intelligence points, and it can be upgraded down the line in both of these stats as they are not too high to start off with.

As you must have deduced from the fact that it has Intelligence scaling right off the bat – the Moonvell has a beautiful balance between physical and mental damage.

And this can further include things like rapid blood loss if the player wills it. You can obtain it after killing the Magma Wyrm boss in the Gael Tunnel.

Morgott’s Cursed Sword

Morgott’s Cursed Sword

Morgott’s Cursed Sword is not an easy weapon to obtain or wield. It requires 14 Strength, 35 Dexterity, and 17 Arcane if you wish to use the sword, which is not something that you can do early in the game.

If you are willing to put in the effort, however, Morgott’s Cursed Sword is one of the best weapons in the game thanks to the fact that it deals a lot of damage and builds up hemorrhage within enemies.

To obtain this sword, you need to defeat Morgott, the Omen King in Leyndell of the Royal Capital.

Once you defeat the boss, you get an item called ‘Remembrance of the Omen King’ which you can then either trade for 30,000 Runes or Morgott’s Cursed Sword.

Scythe

Scythe - Elden Ring Best Dexterity Weapons Ranked- GamesBustop

The Scythe is one of the most consistently recurring weapons in the Souls series and it’s just as good in Elden Ring too. You can find it in the Cliffbottom Catacombs, which is possible very early on in the game too – so it’s a weapon that can accompany you when you need it the most.

Despite a C Dex scaling, it only needs 14 strengths and 14 Dex to wield.

It deals a lot of damage and can inflict blood loss on enemies, which is always a good combo for aggressive players. Like most good Dex weapons, it can be infused with Ashes of War which is very useful.

It may not be a weapon that you can rely too much on in the ending fights of the game, but it will be useful for a very long time before you have to switch to a different weapon.

And thanks to the Scythe, you will be high enough in Dexterity and other stats that you won’t have a problem wielding the better weapons should it come to that.

These are our recommendations for the best Dexterity weapons in Elden Ring! Keep in mind, as always, that this is just based on our experiences and you might find certain swords to be better for you.
