The Skyburner’s Oath is an exotic scout rifle that comes with the following perks:

- Short-Action Stock – Increased handling speed.
- Slug Rifle – Fires solar slugs which inflict extra damage.
- Extended Mag – Self-explanatory.
- Extended Barrel – Self-explanatory.
The weapon is incredibly good for what it does and its ability to provide extra damage to Cabal and penetrating Phalanx shields is something that players consider is made for fighting the Red Legion in the game. It has a decent part in the game’s lore too and is one of the most sought out weapons in the game.

There is no fixed way to get the Skyburner’s Oath in Destiny 2, as the weapon is only obtained as a random drop. And that means the only way to get the weapon is to play certain game modes to both gains it and increase the likelihood of gaining it as well.
Here are all of the possible methods:
1. Playing Strikes
Playing Strike matches is one of the ways in which you can gain the exotic catalyst for Skyburner’s Oath. There is no specific way to increase the chances, but playing a lot can help you gain the item sooner.
2. Playing Crucible Matches
If you want to play some PvP while also having a chance to obtain the Skyburner’s Oath catalyst, then you can start off by playing some Crucible matches along the way too.
Again, it’s not something that guarantees success by default or has a way to speed up the process – but it’s about as effective a method as any.
3. Playing Gambit Matches
If you’re burnt out from playing Strikes and the PvP Crucible matches, you can also play the Gambit matches to mix things up a bit. All three of the aforementioned playlists can help you get the catalyst that you need throughout the season that is ongoing at the moment.
Once you have the catalysts that you require, you have to place them in your Inventory and by killing 1000 Cabal enemies.
This will activate the catalyst on the weapon which activates a +30 buff to the range, which makes the weapon even better than it already was. It’s certainly not the strongest Exotic weapon in the game, but it’s one of the better ones and suits many playstyles perfectly.
Eventually, it just comes down to how much you’re willing to work on obtaining this weapon as it’s not that easy to gain yet also isn’t particularly overpowered. None of the methods are faster than the other, so lots of grinds should be kept in mind.
