Lysithea Tea Party Guide (Fire Emblem: Three Houses)

Lysithea Tea Party Guide

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is easily one of the best games in the franchise and is the sixteenth installment in general – which is a huge milestone to reach.

The game has a long storyline with multiple ways to experience it, such as alternate cutscenes and scenarios based on your relationship with the main cast. There are many playable characters to choose from and several of them can be additionally bonded with.

One of the most welcome additions to Fire Emblem: Three Houses are the Tea Parties, which allows the player to take different characters in the game on dates, and if you play your cards right, your relationship with them will greatly improve.

One such character is the fan-favorite Lysithea, who is very useful to have as an ally and a difficult enemy to fight if you don’t recruit her on your team. There are many different options to choose from in a Tea Party and it is difficult to know which options will be the right ones to choose.

In this guide, you’ll get to learn how you can have a Tea Party with Lysithea and what the best options for having a successful date with her are. So, let’s get started with the Lysithea tea party guide!

How to take Lysithea to a Tea Party

The first step in taking someone out on a date is, of course, asking them out. You can’t take Lysithea to a Tea Party as soon as you meet her, so you have to make sure that you have the requirements fulfilled first.

First of all, you have to complete Ferdinand’s quest in the fourth chapter of the game.

The quest is called ‘Tea for Two’ and once you complete it, it unlocks the ability to access the Tea Time events with the game’s characters on their birthdays. Lysithea’s birthday is on the 28th of the Pegasus Moon (February 28th).

Afterwards, you need to acquire tea leaves if you want to host a Tea Party, and they can be acquired through three ways:

  • Pick up tea leaves located around the Garreg Mach Monastery.
  • Purchase tea leaves from the marketplace, which are found most around the eastern and southern merchants who travel around the town.
  • Acquire tea leaves by completing quests that might offer them.

You can give gifts to characters during tea parties too in the same way that you already do so within the Monastery exploration. So, stock up on some money too if you wish to do that. Once you have everything, it’s time to invite the character you want to the party.

The recommended gifts for her are:

  • Book of Crest Designs (4 stars)
  • Lily (3 stars)
  • Arithmetic Textbook (3 stars)
  • Armored Bear Stuffy (3 stars)

And of course, the obvious detail: you need to recruit her so that she’s on your side as a friend early on in the game if you’re on the Golden Deer route. If you don’t, you can’t take her to a tea party and have to fight her later on in the game too.

But she can also be recruited in Chapter 14 if any unit defeats her in combat.

Lysithea Tea Party Guide

There are many different types of tea to choose from when you invite someone to a party, but only a few of them are the favorites of every character. Lysithea’s favorite tea choices are:

  • Crescent-Moon Tea (3 stars)
  • Honeyed-Fruit Blend (3 stars)
  • Sweet-Apple Blend (2 stars)
  • Southern Fruit Blend (2 stars)

You get three chances of talking to Lysithea and have to choose topics that she might like.

Here are the right choices of conversation:

  • A new gambit
  • Capable comrades
  • Books you’ve read recently
  • A place you’d like to visit
  • A dinner invitation
  • Your ambitions
  • You seem different
  • Working together
  • The existence of crests
  • The ideal professor
  • The library’s collection
  • The thrill of sweets
  • Cats
  • Classes you might enjoy
  • Close calls
  • Cooking mishaps
  • Cute accessories
  • Shareable snacks
  • Someone you look up to
  • Strange fish in the pond
  • Thanks for everything
  • Tell me about yourself
  • Evaluating allies
  • Food in the dining hall
  • Fashion
  • Fodlan’s future
  • Favorite Sweets.

Once you are done initiating conversation with these topics three times; you have to answer with the right words when she’s the one who says something to her. Here are what she will say and what your right replies are:

“If I hadn’t met you, I don’t think I’d be who I am today”

 Correct answers:

  • Laugh
  • Disagree

“One of the few pleasures I find is in eating sweets. It’s…kind of embarrassing.”

Correct answers:

  • Laugh
  • Nod

“Talking to you feels worth my time. I feel there’s a lot I can learn from you.”

Correct answers:

  • Blush
  • Laugh

“I wonder what I’d do, who I’d be, if I gave everything up for freedom. I think about that all the time.”

Correct answers:

  • Chat
  • Nod

“I’m exhausted by all my incessant thoughts. I just want to empty my mind for now.”

Correct answers:

  • Sip tea
  • Nod
  • Laugh

“I know I could stand to lighten up from time to time.”

Correct answers:

  • Admonish
  • Chat
  • Praise

“If not for Crests, the world might’ve been a more peaceful place.”

Correct answers:

  • Laugh
  • Chat.

When you ask all the right things and answer with the right options, you will have a ‘Perfect’ Tea Party score and will have boosted stats with Lysithea. This starts ‘Extra Time’ in which you can stare at the character using the free camera or do things like joke or banter, which don’t change anything.

This is, however, the time to give her the aforementioned gifts and that does make things better in the end – although you can consider this part optional too.

Once you’re satisfied and have done everything, simply end the Tea Party and Lysithea will make a happy remark and everything will go back to normal.

And in case you’re wondering, this does contribute towards the endgame romance that you can have with Lysithea once the main story ends.

We hope that you found this guide useful and we’re here to answer any questions that you might have.

The main method of initiating tea parties remains the same for all characters, only their preferences change in terms of conversations, what tea they like, and gifts.
