One thing that is demanded from almost every form of video game these days is an expansive open world with a lot to do.
While this, in general, is a great concept, it can have surprising effects on gameplay, including the feeling of being overwhelmed. Lost Ark could easily have fallen into this same problem if not for their invention of the adventure tomes.

Adventurer’s Tome In Lost Ark Explained
An adventure tome could simply be described as a list of objectives and places on a map, but they wouldn’t do it justice.
An adventure tome is a book linked to a continent in the world of lost Ark. They are real ways to keep track of not only your progress on said content but also list the various items you haven’t completed yet. The adventure tome will also mark the percentage of things you have completed on that continent.
The things listed in the adventure tome include important locations such as towns and cities.
Your story quests, important missions, and side missions are sprinkled throughout the map. The adventure tome also contains the location of dungeons, unique monsters, and boss field monsters. The other things listed in your adventure tome include collectible, hidden mission, substories, affinity completions, Triport Bifrost, and viewpoints.
It is also worth noting that there are as many adventure tomes as continents for you to explore. There are currently ten different adventure tomes for you to fill out in the game. But if more areas are added in the future, then this number will be sure to increase as well.
Considering all of these are paired with your map, this will make finding all of them easier than it would have to try and find them through your travels. That does leave the question that if percentages mark these off, how do you finish an adventure tome.
How can I finish an adventure tome?
At first, the long way to one hundred percent completion on any of the tomes seems daunting.
To a degree, this is not an unfair reaction because each of the adventure tomes does correlate to the continent. Add on to the fact that certain missions, beasts, and dungeons may require more effort and even play-throughs than other objectives. But the good news is that there is a reason why these tomes are broken down into percentages.
You can start however you’d like, and once you complete enough objectives, you will find that you get updated to ten percent completions. From here, as you progress, that number will go up by ten percent increments. This system gives a real feeling of progress as you make your way through the world and makes you feel like an actual explorer.
This progression also helps you from feeling like you can’t make a dent in the exploration of the open world.
So this percentage system is fantastic and a great way to keep track of your progress, but does it do anything for you. It does. You will receive a reward every time you upgrade your percentage in the adventure tome.
What are the rewards for finishing an adventure tome?
You receive rewards for making progress and then finishing adventure tomes in lost Ark. these rewards are based on two district features when you are playing. One is the percentage that you have achieved. A 10% reward is very different from an 80% reward.
The other thing that will affect the reward that you get is the continent that you are on. It is also important to note that a reward can only be earned once for your account, not once per character. So you don’t have to worry about getting the award for a different character a second time.
Since there are ten different continents for you to explore, and each one has a 100% for you to unlock in your adventure, there are 100 different rewards. Most of these will be useful in some way, so I will not compare them. It is a good idea for you to know what they are, though, so that you can plan on which ones to focus on earning.
Annika
