1. Complete Quests
One of the least common ways to get Ballistic Fiber resources is by completing quests in the game. There are no fixed details on this, as any quest can give you some, and the same quest that gave someone the resources might give another player nothing.
It’s randomized and is an alright way of naturally gaining the resource if you don’t want to put in additional effort.
2. Power Armor Chassis
You can get Ballistic Fiber by scrapping the Power Armor Chassis. You can find that through exploration and each time you scrap this item, you will get between 1 to 5 Ballistic Fiber.
The best part is that you can keep revisiting the spots where you usually find them, so you can repeat this process every once in a while. The locations for the Power Chassis Armor in Fallout 76 are:
- Point Pleasant – on the roof.
- Middle Mountain Cabins – between the dish and hotel.
- Solomon’s Pond – On the edge in the West side.
- WV Lumber Co – inside the warehouse.
- Kanawha Nuka-Cola Plant – In the Loading Dock Chamber.
- Silva Homestead – inside the area.
- Sunnytop Ski Lanes – inside the basement of the house with a green roof.
- Sons of Dane Compound – in the basement behind a level 3 door.
- New Appalachian Railyard – on the platform in the main building.
3. Scrapping Items
There are several items that you can scrap in order to get Ballistic Fiber, which you’ll be looting in your playthrough naturally. Here are the items that you can scrap in hopes of getting Ballistic Fiber:
1. Military Grade Duct Tape
If you scrap Military Grade Duct Tape, you will get 2 Ballistic Fiber as a result.
2. Piezonucleic Liner
You don’t find Piezonucleic Liners that often, so you’re essentially sacrificing a rare resource here. But it gives you 2 Ballistic Fiber for scraping each Piezonucleic Liner.
3. Military Ammo Bags
Military Ammo Bags are some of the more common items that you can find, and scrapping them gets you Ballistic Fiber. Still, you might find the other options easier personally because it all comes down to playstyle preferences in the end.
4. Locations for Items to Scrap
Now that we’ve talked about what things you can obtain to farm Ballistic Fiber, we of course need to talk about the locations you can find them in. Here are the best spots:
1. Clancy Manor
This is a particularly useful location for Ballistic Fiber because it has both Military Grade Duct Tape and Military Ammo Bags.
2. Watoga Civic Center
Another very useful location, you can find both Military Grade Duct Tape and Military Ammo Bags at the center of Cranberry Bog.
3. Fort Defiance
This spot is one of the quicker ones when it comes to finding Military Ammo Bags. It can be found in the South West of the Cranberry Bog area and you can loot as many as ten bags at once.
4. The Thorn
Again, in the Cranberry Bog area, you can visit this place on the North West side and you might find many good items there.
5. Camp McClintock
In the South West of the Forest region, you can find Military Ammo Bags.
