Destiny 2: How to Get The Dead Messenger Catalyst

Destiny 2: How to Get The Dead Messenger Catalyst

There are many first-person shooters in the market, but Destiny 2 has always had its own place among the charts.

The reason behind it is the fact that Destiny 2 receives many amazing missions and expansions that add hours’ worth of content to the game, filled with exciting enemies and loot.

One such mission is The Dead Messenger, which was a part of the Season of the Risen questline. Caiatl asked all Guardians to go to the Vox Obscure mission and get rid of the Psion propaganda – but this time on the Master difficulty.

And The Dead Messenger has a Catalyst too, which players found very appealing due to its cool looks and stats.

So, how do you get The Dead Messenger catalyst in Destiny 2? What are the steps? Let’s go over everything and find out!

How to get the Dead Messenger Catalyst in Destiny 2

There are a few steps that you need to complete in order to get the Dead Messenger Catalyst in Destiny 2. Here’s what they are:

1. Complete the Vox Revelata Quest

Progress through the Operation Elbrus questline and once you clear it in Normal, head over to H.E.L.M. and talk to Caiatl. Then, Caiatl will give you the exotic “Vox Obscura” mission which you have to complete on the Master Difficulty.

The recommended power level for completing Vox Obscura on Master Difficulty is 1580, so you need to make sure that you’re well-equipped and ready to go. The modifiers for this difficulty are Pestilence (defeating a Psion will spawn a void grenade), Locked Equipment, and disabled Radar.

If you go into the mission without the right level and equipment, you might end up losing because the Master Difficulty versions of missions in Destiny 2 is not a joke. So, stock up on the best of mods, grab a great weapon and try not to be under-leveled.

2. Go to the treasure room to claim the Dead Messenger’s Catalyst

The second and last step is pretty simple. Once you’ve defeated the boss in the mission, go to the treasure room and open the final chest. Inside is The Dead Messenger’s Catalyst. You still need to unlock it, so prepare to defeat 200 enemies with void, solar, and arc damage with the weapon.

All of this might sound like a lot since the mission is difficult and defeating 200 enemies to unlock the Catalyst is time-consuming. However, the best loot in Destiny 2 always requires a sacrifice of your time – so it will be well worth the effort in the end.

Once you’re done with everything, congratulations! You now have the Catalyst of the Dead Messenger in Destiny 2.

That’s everything that you need to know about getting the Dead Messenger’s Catalyst in Destiny 2. We hope that you found this guide useful and are already on your way to adding that Catalyst to your collection.
