MultiVersus Tier List: All Characters Ranked (2024)

MultiVersus Tier List: All Characters Ranked

When MultiVersus was first announced, everyone thought that it was just going to be a random crossover game that everyone forgets about in a month.

However, to everyone’s surprise, it ended up being a massive hit thanks to its addictive gameplay and fair free-to-play model.

With a large roster of characters like Iron Giant, Batman, and Finn the Human that is always being updated, MultiVersus is one of the most-played fighting games in recent history. Whether you pick someone funny like Bugs Bunny or someone serious like Batman or Arya Stark from Game of Thrones, there’s a lot of depth to how these characters play and they all come with their pros and cons.

However, as with any other fighting game, not everyone is created equal. Some fighters have more advantages than others and have better matchups than the rest. And it’s never a bad idea to know who they are, especially if you play MultiVersus a bit competitively.

So, here’s the current MultiVersus tier list with all the characters ranked in 2024!

MultiVersus Tier List (All Platforms)

An interesting thing to note when it comes to the MultiVersus tier lists is that most people split it between 1v1 and 2v2 gameplay. However, based on our experience, we feel that it’s not necessarily a distinction that needs to be made.

A character that is good in 1v1 is still just as good in 2v2 and the only major difference that comes into play is that in 2v2, some of the lower-tier characters are still a viable option. How? Simple, just pair them with some of the higher-tier characters and they will perform far better than they would alone.

So, let’s go over our tier list with this information in mind. Both 1v1 and 2v2 performances of a character are the same at the end of the day; higher tiers simply carry the lower ones in team play.

S Tier MutiVersus Champions

The S tier is, of course, the best tier of characters in MultiVersus.

1. Finn The Human

Finn The Human is a part of the Assassin class and is one of the best characters in the game. His ground attacks are very powerful, and his moves have a dangerous hitbox that can punish most characters with ease.

So, whether it’s combos or aggression, he’s very good at pushing opponents into a corner and then forcing them off the map for a clean victory! And the fact that he can purchase items from his shop allows him to always have a trick up his sleeve.

2. Batman

Batman is a character who creatively makes use of every tool in his arsenal – and that remains true for MultiVersus as well. He is very easy to learn, and his Bat-Grapple can be spammed very easily, which is great if you want to persistently annoy your opponents.

The tools, such as batarangs, can be chained into combos too with a bit of practice and you can constantly pressure your enemies before they have a chance to recover.

Since it’s literally Batman, you’ll be up against him a lot even if you don’t play as him. Not to mention that your partner might play as him in 2v2 too, so it’s always a good idea to learn his basics for every purpose.

3. Bugs Bunny

Bugs Bunny being a Mage class character is ironic because he does act like a magician in the cartoons when he’s trolling people. He has ranged attacks and can easily take control of the battlefield, which helps a lot in an arena-based game.

Similar to Finn, his unpredictability makes him a worthy opponent since he can do things like stunning enemies with blown kisses and throwing random items out of nowhere. So, he’s a great offensive and ranged option if you don’t mind his small height.

4. Velma

An easier character to give this spot to would be someone like Harley Quinn, but Velma is a great support character that is quite different from the rest. She has four cooldown abilities and one of them even lowers the cooldown for her partner in 2v2 matches.

She can heal herself and her partner and she’s pretty good at knocking opponents off the platform too. A pretty well-rounded character altogether.

MultiVersus A+ Tier Champions

The A+ tier is for characters who are not number one but are pretty close to it and you can win any match with them against S-tier characters too – just with slightly more effort.

1. Harley Quinn

She’s pretty good at delivering high damage to her enemies and pressuring them into the corner of the map. Her combos chain up very easily and her Stuffie Bat can be attached to enemies and detonate per the player’s wishes.

2. Superman

He can be a bit predictable, but his ability to fly around gives him great mobility, and his Armored Attacks pack quite the punch. Easy to learn and a bit hard to master.

3. LeBron James

LeBron James is a very strong character, and he can pull off a lot of moves that players don’t anticipate on time since he is a recent addition to the game. He’s not easy to learn, but once you get the hang of it, he’s shaping to be one of the top stars of MultiVersus.

MultiVersus A-Tier Champions

The A tier is when things start to become a bit difficult. A+ are characters who are almost S tier but just have a flaw or two that hold them back, but A-tier are characters who are still decent but have flaws that throw them down the ladder.

  • Jake The Dog
  • Shaggy
  • Tom & Jerry
  • Taz.

MultiVersus B-Tier Champions

The B tier is when you truly start to have trouble keeping up with the better characters in the game. When it comes to MultiVersus, we recommend using these characters in 2v2 so that they can be carried by an S or A tier partner.

  • Steven Universe
  • Arya Stark
  • Reindog
  • Wonder Woman.

MultiVersus C-Tier Champions

Preferably, don’t play as these characters competitively until a future patch makes them better.

  • Garnet
  • Iron Giant – Pretty much a gimmick character that is not very sustainable. He is a pacifist after all!

That’s the current MultiVersus tier list of all the characters ranked together! This list is based on our experiences, opinions, and observation of what the community feels about the current roster of the game.

You might find a character from the list that we ranked as low better for your playstyle than someone that we ranked higher. At the end of the day, tier lists are subjective, and experimentation is the key to victory!
