Divinity: Original Sin 2 is one of the best role-playing video games of recent time and continues to be a game that both newcomers and fans alike keep going back to. Since it’s a full-fledged RPG, it has a lot of variety in the enemies that you face and not all of them are easy to kill.
Some of them require a high player level to be defeated, while others are better eliminated with a strategic approach.

As many players realize on their first attempt, the troll is particularly hard to kill since he is equipped with the Troll Blood buff.

How to Kill Krug the Troll
There are four ways to defeat Krug the Troll in Divinity: Original Sin 2. Let’s go over all four of them and you can pick the one that best suits your party statistics and personal preferences.
1. Teleport Krug into Lava
It’s difficult to ignore the lava in the area in which you encounter Krug the Troll, and that’s exactly what you will need for this method. If you have the teleport ability, you can teleport Krug into that lava and he will die immediately.
No fight will ensue and there are no consequences, you can simply enter the cave as soon as he dies.
One thing that should be kept in mind is that teleporting requires two points in Aerotheurge. Alternatively, you can use Terrain Transmutation too and move lava under Krug, which will still kill him.
2. Heal Krug
Ever thought of killing someone by healing them? Well, that’s what you need to do here. You can heal Krug by using Regeneration since it removes his Troll Blood buff. Then you can proceed to kill him and the fight will be far easier without his excessive health.
One thing to keep in mind is that you cannot use First Aid or a healing spell of a similar level. You need something like the aforementioned Regeneration ability.
3. Persuade Krug
You can talk your way out of the situation. Seriously. If your character intelligence is high and you have the necessary Persuasion skill too – then you can simply convince Krug to let you into the cave. All that you need to do is to tell him that he will get more meat than you, and he will let you in.
4. Battle Krug
For those who don’t want a third option and simply want to fight Krug like a warrior – that’s entirely possible. Krug has a lot of health and the Troll Blood gives him a massive advantage.
However, you can still defeat him by taking away all of his health points, even those that come back through regenerative health points.
You simply need to be at a very high level and have a party that can take care of the problem. If you deal heavy damage to the troll and are able to hit him like a boulder – then you’ll be able to kill him in some time even if it won’t be instant.
It’s the least effective way to do things, but you’ll have the pride of not using an easy exploit at the end of the day.
The only thing that we can suggest here is that you should keep items that would help you teleport Krug or heal him just in case you are unable to defeat him fairly. That would save you a lot of time and you would also be sure that you did try everything else first.
