There’s something about Lego-themed games that’s so fun, especially when they let us revisit our favorite childhood franchises like Indiana Jones, Harry Potter, and Lord of the Rings. Earlier this year, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment released its sixth installment to the Lego Star Wars series – The Skywalker Saga.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga parodies the story of the J.J. Abrams film of the same name, with its main protagonist Rey and her archnemesis Kylo Ren. But they’re not the only characters you’ll meet in the game.

There are a bunch of other interesting unlockable characters that appear in the movie trilogy while there are some entirely new and unfamiliar faces.

The Lego Marvel videogame series previously held the record of most playable Lego characters with over 155, but Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has since stolen the crown with its army of 380 Lego characters.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Best Characters

We’re honestly not surprised if you’re overwhelmed with your choices, which is why we’ve narrowed it down to the best characters you can play in Lego Stars Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

15. Leia (Training Flashback)

"Leia

Princess Leia is one of the most complex characters in Star Wars; through the years, we’ve seen different versions of the character. The game features 15 additional character tokens for Leia, including her General uniform and her unforgettable Jabba the Hutt outfit.

After she was revealed to be Luke Skywalker’s sibling, fans began speculating if she also had the force. In Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, we get to see and experience what it would be like if Leia was also a Jedi herself.

14. The Mandalorian Din Djarin and Grogu (aka Baby Yoda)

"The

The Mandalorian is a DLC included in the deluxe edition of Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

Due to the show’s rising internet fame, they were bound to add the titular character along with 50-year-old Grogu (who is ironically nicknamed Baby Yoda) to their long list of characters. Unlike most playable characters, the two are paired together in the game.

13. Chewbacca

"Chewbacca"

Chewie, short for Chewbacca, is a Wookie that has been inseparable from Hans Solo. He wields a bowcaster and mostly has the upper hand in long-range combat, especially when you give him the Scoundrel updates.

There’s also the Charged Shot upgrade, which allows you to charge up a shot so it can deal extra damage, and the Piercing Rounds upgrade can attack foes through the cover. They might fool you with their fuzziness, but Wookies are capable of ripping limbs out when they’re angry, which Chewie can do in combat.

12. BB-9E

"BB-9E"

While BB-9E is a boss in one of The Skywalker Saga levels, you can also ride them, which is fun. Astromechs are also undeniably useful to have around.

It’s not hard to understand why most ship captains have one on board. BB-9E can use Astromech Sockets to hack specific locations, which is crucial for finishing missions and puzzles. Along with electrocuting its enemies, BB-9E can also handle itself during combat.

11. Droideka

"Droideka"

Droidekas are one of the many varieties of droids manufactured by the Trade Federation and were deployed by the Separatists during the Clone Wars. They contain two blaster guns and energy shields.

Although the player isn’t genuinely protected by their shields, they offer a great visual indication of when you’re running out of health. Because they roll and move about so swiftly, these destroyer droids are also entertaining to play as.

10. First Order Flametrooper

"First

I mean, who doesn’t want to use a character that shoots out flames and starts explosions? The flamethrower of a First Order Flametrooper may not offer much range as a blaster, but it’s way more fun (and it doesn’t miss its targets).

Because it covers a wide area, it’s great for close-range combat. On top of that, it deals a fair amount of continuous damage, which few characters in the game can do.

Because it’s the First Order Flametrooper’s default weapon, they can use flamethrowers for an unlimited amount of time. This is great because you’ll rarely come across flamethrowers in the game.

9. Boba Fett

"Boba

It’s no wonder why one of the best characters in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is the most notorious and feared bounty hunter in the galaxy – Boba Fett. Boba’s blaster of choice is perhaps one of the best blasters to use in the entire game.

His blaster can fire many bullets across a wide area if combined with the Scattershot upgrade.

He also uses a flamethrower and can fly for three seconds with his jetpack, giving him and other characters who can pass a significant edge in accomplishing the various side missions and challenges in the game.

8. Kylo Ren

"Kylo

At some point, you’ll want to play as the villain instead of the main character. Luckily, Kylo Ren is a fun character to use in Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Like most Sith Lords, he wields an interesting lightsaber.

He also has funny interactions with other characters, and you can even unlock Shirtless Kylo Ren and Matt the Radar Technician.

7. Luke Skywalker (Yoda Backpack)

"Luke

Luke had to carry Yoda during his Jedi training once, and the game has a version of his character that does it. Unfortunately, Yoda doesn’t offer any extra help while he’s riding the backpack.

But Luke is strong enough to handle himself and can still use his unique abilities and double jump in the game. Because Yoda’s at your back, you’ll have to try your best not to disappoint him.

6. First Order Jet Trooper

"First

There are only two villains that can fly in The Skywalker Saga: the First Order Jet Troopers and Sith Jet Troopers. But the latter isn’t better than the previous for one reason.

What makes First Order Jet Troopers unique is that they’re the only characters with rocket launchers as their default weapon. While other villain characters can equip projectile launchers, it’s not their default weapon, so they don’t get unlimited ammo. On the other hand, First Order Jet Troopers do.

5. Babu Frik

"Babu

While he looked terrifying in the movies, Babu Frik is quite adorable in the Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. He’s incredibly tiny, which is a massive advantage in the game, especially when your characters can’t fit through specific passages and crevices.

However, you can’t use Babu all the time, as many situations still require regular-sized characters. Still, Babu Frik is one of the best characters to have around on your team.

4. Darth Maul

"Darth

Darth Maul is one of the coolest Dark Side users, and his dual-bladed lightsaber makes him even more intimidating to look at. He was thought to be dead in the first Star Wars movie but made his return in the Clone Wars.

Darth Maul has the same force, push and mind trick powers as the other Siths in the game. However, because of his talent for dual-wielding, Darth Maul is way better and more entertaining than other villains.

3. Ahsoka Tano

"Ahsoka

Who doesn’t love Ahsoka Tano? With her trademark white lightsabers, she uses her powers to help others fight against oppression. She is somewhat more skilled with lightsabers than other members of the Jedi class since she dual-wields.

Plus, Ahsoka can use the Force to lift and toss items, much like other Jedi, and she can also use it to do mind tricks. You can also upgrade these skills to deal more damage when you throw items, and your mind tricks can last much longer.

2. Sith Rey

"Sith

Apart from the iconic “I am your father” scene between Luke and Darth Vader, perhaps the biggest plot twist in Star Wars history is spoiler alert: Rey being Palpatine’s daughter.

So it’s inevitable that they would add a dark version of Rey. Not only does it let us imagine what it would be like, but it also introduces a new dual-blade lightsaber.

1. General Grievous

""/

Because of his versatility and access to many weapons and explosives, General Grievous is arguably one of the best characters in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. What makes him even cooler is that he also wields four lightsabers; who does that?

Grievous also has other powers thanks to his Villain class, including the ability to unlock weapon crates and use villain terminals.

He can get a defensive droid, more powerful grenades, and more ammunition with various upgrades, which makes him a character worth adding to your team.

Conclusion

And those are the best characters in Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga ranked! We hope you enjoyed this guide as much as we do and that you’re on your way now to unlock some of these characters.

Remember that this ranking is based on our personal opinion, and with so many characters, it’s hard to fit other good ones here. The key is to do your research and experiment.

There’s something about Lego-themed games that’s so fun, especially when they let us revisit our favorite childhood franchises…

{"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

20
