Ark: Survival Evolved is a game full of action, adventure, survival, and dinosaurs. Lots of dinosaurs.
Since the game is very realistic, it includes things like hunger, injuries, and there are different types of dinosaurs which include both herbivores and carnivores. Since dinosaurs have different diets, they both require different types of food to heal and grow.
It’s pretty easy to feed your carnivorous dinosaur the meat of other animals, but you can’t do that with herbivorous dinosaurs. So, among the few things that they love to eat, we have the Sweet Vegetable Cake.
Whether you’re new to Ark: Survival Evolved or a veteran player, you’ve heard that the Sweet Vegetable Cake is perfect as a meal for any herbivorous dinosaur.
And you’ve heard correctly, so we’re going to teach you how to make one right now so that your dinosaur can heal and become stronger than ever. Let’s get started!
How to Make a Sweet Vegetable Cake In Ark
The very first thing that you need to keep in mind is that the Sweet Vegetable Cake is only useful for feeding herbivorous dinosaurs in Ark. If you try to eat it yourself or feed it to a carnivorous dinosaur, it will be a waste of time because both humans and carnivores find its taste horrible.
However, aside from using the cake to heal dinosaurs, you can use it to tame Ovis and Achatina too – with the cake being the only food that the latter will consume.
And as for healing dinosaurs, the cake restores 10% of their maximum health within 30 seconds and there is a 10-second delay before the game lets you feed the dinosaur again.
And another important thing to keep in mind is that this cake spoils in just 1 hour and 20 minutes in your inventory – so you can’t mass produce it and then stock up on it.
Instead, you should only make it exactly when you need it. If you have something like a Refrigerator or a Preserving Bin, then you can keep it for longer as it won’t be spoiled for up to a maximum of 5 days and 13 hours.
With all of that out of the way, let’s get into how you can make the cake.
Step 1
Gather the items necessary for the production
You can cook a Sweet Vegetable Cake in a Cooking Pot and an Industrial Cooker. You should have either of these two prepared for use when you intend to cook.
Step 2
Gather the resources required for the recipe. These are the resources that you need to cook the Sweet Vegetable Cake:
- Giant Bee Honey (2x)
- Rockarrot (2x)
- Fiber (25x)
- Stimulant (4x)
- Sap (4x)
- Longrass (2x)
- Savoroot (2x)
- Water (1x)
If you’re looking in a Cooking Pot, you need water in a Waterskin, Water Jar, or a Canteen. This will be included in the Cooking Pot with at least 25% water.
Alternatively, if you’re cooking in the Industrial Cooker, you won’t need to manually use water since it will use the water from the irrigation pipes instead.
Once all of these ingredients are placed in the Cooking Pot or the Industrial Cooker, your Sweet Vegetable Cake will be ready. It’s pretty quickly made and is very easy to use – so go ahead and enjoy your adventure!
How to Purchase Sweet Vegetable Cakes in Ark: Survival Evolved Mobile
You can purchase the Sweet Vegetable Cake in the Chef Station.
It costs 50x Mixes and yields 3 pieces per purchase. This is only possible in the Mobile version of Ark and is one of the fastest ways of getting the item in that version of the game.
