Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Switch Port Arrival Details

Twilight Princess Wind Waker Switch Port Arrival Details

The Legend of Zelda franchise has always been one of the biggest names that Nintendo has to offer. With multiple games, timelines, and amazing adventures that we all remember fondly, it’s a series that is very close to our hearts.

Even in present time, the Breath of the Wild was a massive success and fans are eagerly waiting for the sequel. But new games need a lot of development time, which is why Nintendo keeps re-releasing remasters of older Zelda games to make up for the gap.

Since The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 won’t be coming out until at least 2023, it’s only natural that Nintendo will re-release more of the older Zelda games in the meantime.

After all, Nintendo Switch needs to have more of the Nintendo backlog in its library since the Wii U is becoming extinct.

Twilight Princess And Wind Waker Switch Details

So, according to rumors, the next remasters in line are going to be The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD and The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD. They are the most requested games at the moment from the Zelda backlog and there is no Zelda-related release in 2022 so far – so it would make perfect sense for Nintendo to do that.

Not to mention that the HD versions of these games already exist on the Wii U, so it’s just a no-brainer for Nintendo to port these games next.

So, what are the details of the rumored release? Let’s go over what we’ve heard so far from the source:

  • The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Wind Waker will be built upon the Wii U ports
  • Twilight Princess and Wind Waker will be combined as a double-pack for the Nintendo Switch
  • The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Wind Waker remasters might be released on Nintendo Switch in October 2022.

Lastly, the source also believes that a Metroid Prime remaster and an Advance Wars 1 + 2 remaster might be on the table too.

Keep in mind that these remasters are at the time a rumor from somewhat credible sources who have been right in the past. So, take it with a grain of salt until we see something more official.

And since the Metroid Prime and Advance Wars 1 + 2 remasters are also rumored, if we see even one of them, it confirms that the Zelda news is true too.

Another interesting thing to note is that one of the most vocal people that are fueling this rumor, VentureBeat’s Jeff Grubb, believes that if they do not release these remasters this year – it might never happen at all.

Because there won’t be a time better than this for this release, given the seeming consistency in having one Zelda-based release per year for the Nintendo Switch.

Everything aside, we hope to see the Twilight Princess HD and Wind Waker HD ports for the Nintendo Switch this year and we know that the fans are eagerly looking forward to it as well!
