However, the answer to this question is yes. You can become evil in Hogwarts Legacy by learning the unforgivable curses, such as Avada Kedavra, Imperio, and Crucio. This means that you can kill people, torture them, and mind-control certain creatures too for selfish and evil reasons.
Keep in mind that if you use any of these curses in front of your professors or on fellow students – they simply do not die. And you can’t use some of them inside the school either. But it’s still pretty evil to kill and torture living beings even if they’re goblins – so there’s your answer.
How to be evil in Hogwarts Legacy
To be evil in Hogwarts Legacy, you need to learn the dark arts. And to do that, you need to befriend a student from the Slytherin house called Sebastian Sallow. You can find him in the Slytherin House’s Common House – which can be visited through the bottom side of The Grand Staircase area.
He comes with a few side quests you can complete, which he offers you after you two know each other for some time. But remember that you can permanently miss this opportunity if you say no. So, make sure to say yes when the moment arrives.
You can learn a total of four spells, which are:
- Crucio – Clear the “In the Shadow of the Study” side quest and ask Sebastian to cast it on you.
- Imperio – Clear the “In the Shadow of Time” side quest and say yes about learning the curse.
- Avada Kedavra – Clear the “In the Shadow of the Relic” side quest and say ‘yes please’ and that ‘everybody should learn this’.
- Confringo – Clear the ‘In the Shadow of the Undercroft’ story quest in the main story. It lets you create an explosion that damages nearby enemies. Although this is not an unforgivable curse, it is still something that specifically harms other people.
Once you complete all these quests in the game, you’ll be ready to be an evil wizard.
